Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the best classical treks which offers a unique combination of diverse ecosystems and cultural wonders. This trek is well known for its incredible views, and easy going trails.
Located north of Pokhara, Annapurna Base Camp is a 14 days trek starting from Tikhedhunga. The trail ascends through a myriad of ecosystems and ethnically Gurung and Magar villages along the way, before entering the Annapurna Conservation Area in which the base camp resides.
The Annapurna Base Camp and the Annapurna Conservation Area is surrounded by a ring of mountains which creates a unique environment and offers the most spectacular views of Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna II(7,937m), Annapurna III(7,555 m), Annapurna IV(7,525 m), Annapurna South(7,219 m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Gangapurna(7,454 m). Along with the abundant wildlife, and diversity, there are monasteries, temples and other religious sites to be discovered while on the trek. The best times to visit most of the Himalayan Mountains and Annapurna region specifically is Fall (September-November) and Spring (March-May). With 4130m as the highest altitude, the Annapurna Base Camp trek allows you to experience the grandeur of the mountains and the rich heritage of multiple Gurung villages along the way. This region is rich in flora and fauna and is also home to the famous Nepali Thakali food.

Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport 1340m,

Day 4 - Trek from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani 2750m (5/6 hours).
Day 5 - Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani 2590m (5/6 hours).
Day 6 - Trek from Tadapani to Sinuwa 2340m (5-6hours).
Day 7 - Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali 3230m (5-6 hours).
Day 8 - Trek from Deurali to ABC 4130m (4-5 hours).
Day 9 - Trek from ABC to Dovan 2505m (5-6 hours).
Day 10 - Trek from Dovan to Chhomrong 2170m (5-6 hours).
Day 11 - Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandruk Village 1940m (5 hours).
Day 12 - Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul 1070m/4hrs and drive to Pokhara,
Day 13 - Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly back to Kathmandu,
Day 14 - Final Departure from Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu in Kathmandu Airport 1300m
Welcome to Nepal! We will greet you outside the main terminal after landing at Tribhuvan International Airport. We will then transfer you to your pre-arranged hotel in Thamel. The evening is yours to relax from the journey, and if you need any services, we will happily offer suggestions for any of your needs.
Full day guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley
The second day is a chance to explore and experience the rich cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. We will visit some of the major sites in Kathmandu like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites are also listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. After exploring these places return back to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 820m, drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga 1540m (3/4 hours).
In the early morning, we will return to Tribhuvan International Airport and catch a scenic flight to Pokhara. Once we land in Pokhara, we will take our private transportation and drive to Nayapul. After reaching Nayapul, we start our hike to Tikhedhunga. We will hike through forests of rhododendron, past local villages, and tea houses and follow the Modi Khola River which will lead us to Birethanti. It is a large village with many houses and tea shops. The trail continues along the left side of Bhurungdi Khola. On crossing the bridge the trail continues to ascend up to Tikhedhunga. We will stay at a lodge in Tikhedhunga.
Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani 2880m (5/6 hours).
In the first two hours, our trek will have some challenges as we trek up through the stone paved steps leading us to a beautiful village named Ulleri (1960 m). Ulleri is a large Magar village offering the first views of the snowy mountains of Annapurna Region. We will stop for our lunch here. We will then ascend gently through the oak and rhododendron forests to Banthanti and Nangethanti, and continue towards the upper Ghorepani to enjoy the majestic view of Annapurna South (7219m) and Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m).
Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani 2630m (5/6 hours).
In the early morning, we will start our trek to Poon Hill (3193 m) which will take us 1 hour. The viewpoint will draw trekkers to watch the first sun’s rays hitting the summits of Dhaulagiri 8167m to Manaslu (8156m) in the east. Other views that stretch out before you are of Dhaulagiri Mountain (8167m), Annapurna I Mountain (8091m), Annapurna II Mountain (7937m), Annapurna III Mountain (7555m), Annapurna IV Mountain (7525m), Annapurna South Mountain (729m), Nilgiri Mountain (7061m), Tukuche Mountain (6920m), Baraha Shikhar (7847m), Lamjung Himal (6983m) and other mountains. After watching the incredible sunrise we will return back to Ghorepani and have a nice breakfast. From there we will descend back to Tadapani village through Deurali Pass. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Trek from Tadapani to Sinuwa 2360m (5-6 hours).
After a beautiful and pleasant morning at Tadapani, we will head to Sinuwa. The hike will descend from Tadapani crossing many beautiful dense rhododendron forests and some local Gurung and Magar Villages. We will get an opportunity to learn a little about the cultures of these groups. Within a couple of hours hike, we will reach Chomrong (2170 m) and again we will ascend back through the long staircase steps to Sinuwa (2340 m). Stay overnight at Sinuwa.
Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali 3230m (5-6 hours).
We will start our trek in the early morning as our estimated trekking time today is of 5-6 hours. In the first portion of the trek we have to descend to the Chomrong Khola and from there we ascend. We will pass through dense forests and head downhill to reach the Dovan Gorge (2600m). We will take our lunch at Dovan and have some refreshments. After some time we will continue our trek to Deurali (3230m). On reaching Deurali, we will overnight at Deurali.
Trek from Deurali to ABC 4130m (4-5 hours)
After our breakfast at the hotel, we will be heading towards our final destination, the Annapurna Base Camp. Initially, the trail continues uphill through rocky ridges to Machhapuchhre Base Camp which is at the height of 3,700m from here we will ascend through the grassy slopes up to Annapurna Base Camp. Passing through the gate like entrance to the Annapurna Conservation Area we can enjoy the majestic view of the Himalayas like Annapurna II(7,937 m), Annapurna III(7,555 m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South(7,219 m), Tent Peak(5695m), Hiunchuli(6,441 m), and Gangapurna (7,454m). The sunset this evening is one to remember as the golden rays bathe the high peaks with the last of the days light. Overnight at the Base Camp.
Trek from ABC to Dovan 2600m (5-6 hours).
After a beautiful and unforgettable morning at Annapurna Base Camp, we will descend back the same route to Dovan. We have to pass by Hinku Cave, an overhanging rock, which is an important site for the staging of attempts to summit Annapurna. Walking through the dense forests, we will reach the bank of the Modi Khola. From here, we ascend to Dovan. Overnight stay at Dovan.
Trek from Dovan to Chomrong 2170m (5-6 hours).
After a nice breakfast, we will descend back to the Chomrong retracing the same path. The descending trekking trial descends to Kuldighar which is a place famous for sheep farming and continues through the stone paved staircase to Sinuwa. From Sinuwa, we will trek downhill through the rhododendron forest and then uphill to reach the Chomrong village (2170 m). Overnight at Chhomrong Village.
Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandruk Village 1940m (5 hours).
We will start our trek in the early morning. Today’s trek will take around 5 hours to reach Ghandruk village. We will descend passing through rhododendron forests, interspersed with terraces to Kimrong Khola. From Kimrong Khola, we ascend until we will reach Kimrong Hill. Descending a bit from Kimrong Hill, we will reach Ghandruk village which is one of the largest Gurung villages. We can enjoy the majestic Himalayas view from Ghandruk village. Overnight at Ghandruk.
Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul 1070m/4 hrs and drive to Pokhara
The trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul will take roughly 6 hours, so we will begin the day rather early. After about one hour walk we will reach Kimche and further descends to reach Syauli Bazaar. We will move along the bank of Modi Khola reaching the Birethanti. From Birethanti, we will reach Nayapul in 25-30 minutes and then we will drive back to Pokhara and overnight at Pokhara.
Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly back to Kathmandu
Pokhara is a beautiful city and also known as the city of Lakes. On this day, we will hike to World Peace Stupa also known as Shanti Stupa situated at the height of 1100m on Anand Hill. Due to its religious importance, many tourists visit this site. W then return to Pokhara and fly back to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu you will be transferred to the hotel in Thamel. Overnight at a Hotel.
We will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled departure.
